Hope you are doing well.
We assume you are experiencing this issue with a particular document here. If yes, then please check the following details:
1- Is the document preview before printing looks fine? If yes, then update your printer drivers
2- Install the latest patch of Acrobat/Reader. Open Application>help>check for an update
3- If the font used in the file is embedded correctly, then the output of the PDF will be fine too. Ensure that all fonts are embedded correctly. Open file>document properties (Ctrl+D)> Fonts
4- Acrobat>Menu>Preferences>Page Display>Use Local Font checked>OK
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks,
Akanchha

Hello,
It sounds like you're experiencing issues with font changes when printing PDFs on your Mac. Here are some steps you can take to address this problem and ensure consistent font rendering:
Embed Fonts: When you create or export a PDF, make sure to embed the fonts used in the document. This ensures that the recipient's computer will have access to the same fonts when viewing or printing the PDF. Most PDF creation tools, like Adobe Acrobat or macOS's built-in PDF exporter, provide options to embed fonts during export.
Use Standard Fonts: To ensure consistency, try to use standard fonts that are widely available across different systems. Fonts like Arial, Times New Roman, and Helvetica are typically safe choices since they're commonly found on both Windows and Mac computers.
Check Font Substitution: Sometimes, if the font used in the PDF is not available on the system where it's being viewed or printed, the system may substitute it with a similar font. This can lead to changes in appearance. You can check if font substitution is happening by viewing the PDF's properties in Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF viewer.
Print as Image: If font rendering issues persist, you can try printing the PDF as an image. Most PDF viewers offer an option to print pages as images, which can help bypass font-related problems. Keep in mind that this might affect printing speed and quality, so it's a workaround rather than a long-term solution.
Update PDF Viewer and Printer Drivers: Make sure you're using the latest version of the PDF viewer software and that your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated software or drivers can lead to compatibility issues.
Test on Different Systems: If possible, test printing the same PDF on different systems to see if the issue is specific to your Mac or if it's a more widespread problem.
If you're using a specific application to create or export your PDFs, you might want to check the application's documentation or support resources for any additional troubleshooting steps. Additionally, you can try opening the PDF on different PDF viewers to see if the font consistency issue is consistent across different viewers.
Remember that font rendering can be influenced by various factors, including the PDF creation method, font embedding, system compatibility, and more. If the issue persists, you might want to consult with professionals who specialize in design and PDF creation for more personalized guidance.
