Sometimes command+B does bold, and sometimes it adds a bookmark. When does it do what?

On Mac systems intuitively command+B will make highlighted text bold

In Acrobat however command+B will sometimes make highlighted text bold, and other times it adds a bookmark. When does it do what? Can’t figure it out. Thanks

When you're in Edit Text mode (or other similar tools) it will make the selected text bold; In all other cases it will add a new bookmark.
