Spaces removed from 'subheadings' and hypertext 'links' don't work!

With my non-Pro subscription of Acrobat, two problems are troublesome:

     1) A pdf document with numerous 'subheadings,' displays those 'headings with all spaces removed--      making those 'headings at least slower to read.

     2) Hyperlinks within a pdf document don't work and an 'apparent' solution isn't readily available.

Non-pro subscription means Acrobat Standard?

1) If something is displayed without spaces, the PDF document has been created as this.

2) Is that for a specific file or for all files?

It helps, if you could provide screenshots and sample files.
