Spell check not working for protected documents

Adobe spell check is greyed out for protected documents. How can enable spellcheck without removing the document ptotections?

We are sorry for the trouble. 

 

A protected PDF is not designed to be an editable file format. and therefore we don't have a spelling or grammar checker for the page content itself. However, if you are the owner/creator of the PDF file you may remove the password protection and then export the PDF to Word and perform the spell check and then convert it back to the PDF file.
