Spinning Wheel in Acrobat Pro after ANY Mouse Clicks (Mac OS)

I don't recall when it started, but seems to have gotten progressively worse.  Whenever I switch tabs or click any menus (top or shortcuts), the spinning wheel appears for 3-5 seconds, then allows me to proceed.  It rarely crashes, but the spinning wheel delays are so frustrating.  Hope there is a solution.  Technical details below.

TIA,

Scott

Any thoughts from the Community here?  Seems to be getting worse...or maybe I'm becoming less patient!

I have the same problem and yes it is annoying.  Particularly bad when trying to save a file.

Hi @DON36836299083d

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and check

This latest version of Acrobat has left me feeling thoroughly frustrated. Regardless of the PDF's size or resolution—whether it's a single page or a hefty hundred-page document—the experience remains consistently disappointing. Acrobat seems to enter a perpetual cycle of spinning for roughly a minute, only to regain its composure momentarily for the next 5 to 7 minutes before succumbing to another round of unresponsiveness. This dance of waiting, hoping, and then waiting again is not just counterproductive; it's downright exasperating. Investing in this upgrade feels like pouring money down the drain.
