212 page word doc with 99 bookmarks created in Adobe Acrbat DCwhen I split by bookmark it only creates 12 files. I also tried creating the bookmarks at the source in MS word, but Adobe Acrobat DC didn't recognize those bookmarks. Doing this on a PC. have done this before with success. All seems correct. Any suggestions?

Do all the bookmarks have "Go to a page" actions associated with them? Unique names?

They do all have unique names, placed in the upper left hand corner of the page. Unclear what you mean by "go to page" but did not utilize the action feature when setting the bookmarks. I inserted the bookmarks in Adobe Acrobate DC for the sole purpose of splitting the PDF file. Its a 211 page file of 99 invoices. I've bookmarked the invoice numbers so that I can have each invoice as an individual file.
While they do have unique names as bookmarks, the invoice number does appear on the other pages of that specific invoice but I only bookmarked the invoice number on the first page. Hope that made sense.

I'm referring to the names of the bookmarks themselves, not to any text on the page.
Regarding the action: When you click them, does it "jump" to a specific page in the file?
Also, are all of those bookmarks located at the top-most level of the bookmarks tree?

yes, the bookmarks worked and would go to the correct location. Also all bookmarks are top level only. Fortunately the file just split. I had worked with tech support and while they could not fix the problem, they suggested I redo the bookmarks. I deleted and set up the first two bookmarks again. I tried the split again to see if the redone bookmarks worked...hoped for 14 file but unbelieveable now have all 99 files split out as initally anticipated. Maybe one of the bookmarks I did over was the problem. Very strange but happy its working.
