stamps - transparency

Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to use the stamp feature and i want to create a custom stamp that will behave the way a real stamp works. So for example I want the stamp to consist of a few sentences that include spaces for a date and signature. In the real world the stamp would sit on top of the text, other than the text, and would not hide what is behind it.
So basically i'm trying to create a stamp with a transparent background so that only the text stamps and the document below it shows through.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Is it a photoshop feature or something i can create in acrobat DC?
hoping for help...

You can do it in Acrobat, you just need to use an image (or PDF file) with a transparent background as the image for it and then add form fields to it (also with transparent background). Then you would need to add a script that will prompt the user to enter the data into those fields when the stamp is applied, as once it's applied it can no longer be edited.
Search the forum for "dynamic stamp" and you'll find plenty of examples, but it's not a trivial task.
If you're interested in hiring someone to create this stamp for you feel free contact me privately via [try6767 at gmail.com].

thank you...that sounds a little above my knowledge base. What i ended up doing is setting the opacity level on the stamp i created and that worked though not with the automated fillin.
the problem with my method is adobe seems to not provide the flexability to set the opacity level for indiviual stamps and instead has a global opacity level applying to all stamps.
Is there some way to lock in the opacity level for specific stamps?

Sure. Select the stamp, press Ctrl+E and you'll be able to set its Opacity level in the floating properties toolbar that will appear.
