Hey Davidh,

As you wish to open PDFs in different windows rather than opening them in different tabs of same window. So, for that you need to make a slight change in Acrobat's preferences setting.

Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences> General> uncheck "Open documents as new tabs in the same window">Reboot Acrobat.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

This Adobe response does not apply to Acrobat Pro XI version and the original question has not been answered properly.  I am running version 11.0.23 and the options listed above are not available. I do not think Acrobat Pro XI allows tabbing.

You are correct, Acrobat XI did not allow tabs. The strange thing is that the original poster says they were seeing tabs in Acrobat XI. We never got to the bottom of this, and three years on, it's probably too late; Acrobat XI was already four years out of date as of the original post.  If you want tabs, the choice is in your hands: pay to upgrade or subscribe and get this new feature...

Adobe is still opening in tabs but that option doesn't exist in the general section. Help!
