Stops Working when Signing Documents using Certificate

Community Beginner ,

I have to preface this with the fact that I hate all of the updates that Adobe has done. It is so buggy and unnecessarily difficult to edit documents. That said, my question is in regard to digitally signing documents using the certificate feature. As usual, the "Using your mouse, click and drag to draw..." dialog box opens, I click the "Do not show this message again". Then, after 3 or 4 times that I use this feature,  on different documents, the ability to embed my digital signature locks up. I try with my mouse to draw the box, but it stops allowing me to sign the documents. I have to uninstall and the re-install the app, set up my signature (image), again. This is the only fix to get it to work again. Why is it doing this and how do I get it to work every time without having to go through this exercise?

Hi @staceyw72942591 ,

Please describe in a little more detail your issue.

For instance, is this a PDF thatt you created from scratch with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, OR, was it produced with another software ? (i.e. Adobe LiveCycle, a government form, a PDF that was opened on macOS using Preview)

Is this happening with all PDFs that you try to sign using that method, or just with this particular PDF?

Are you able to edit this PDF using the "Prepare Form" tool or is it restricted (i.e. If you are able to edit with Prepare Form, can you add a digital signature field and sign?)
