Strange black box when editing in Adobe pro

My collegue has a black box appearing when tryng to edit any drawing. Please could someone advise how we can resolve this. Thank you in advance 🙂

Has your co worker tried to edit the black box using the Edit tool?

Yes, they are not able to click on the black box. Could it be an error with the graphics on their laptop?

In edit they have selected to edit using microsoft paint as they needed to erase something.
