Tab key no longer advances through form

I have NO idea why this is happening, but the tab key no longer advances the cursor through each successive form field in Adobe Acrobat DC.  It perpetually jumps the cursor to the first field in the form.  This is happening with every form I've created.  It just started this morning.  I have adjusted nothing in my Adobe settings that would explain this, and all my operating software is up to date.  Can someone figure out how to fix this?

Okay, a reboot of the system seemed to help fix the problem.  I still don't know why that tab goofiness started up out of the blue, but if anyone else runs into the same problem, try quitting everything and then relaunching. That seems to help return the tab key's function of advancing through form fields.

I tried this, full quit, kill all processes, restart pc, and also repair installation, no combination of those has worked and I have tried several.

I would like to avoid going to an older version because, how crazy is this, I actually thought it would be in my best interest to learn the new version and adapt. However, that seems to be the solution for another poster with this issue.

Try to revert to the Classic UI: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-2023-how-to-revert-to-classic-gui-user-in...
Consider the "new Acrobat" as a beta version, many features are still missing or half-implemented.
