I was wondering if anyone knew how to tag footnotes when trying to comply with the current accessibility standards? I've been searching on here, but the only examples I can find are years old, and I'm unsure if the advice is still relevant. Every time I run my documents through a PDF checker, the notes get flagged as structure tree issues. Here's how my tag tree currently looks with footnotes, is this correct?

<P>
   Example sentence that leads to reference
   <Reference>
      <Lbl>
        1

<Note>
   <Lbl>
      1
    <P>
      Body text of reference

Furthmore, what do the standards say regarding whether they should have links and how to tag those? I'm fairly new to this, and would appreciate any advice!
