Text Comment entering below cursor

Guest
Feb 14, 2019 Feb 14, 2019

When I add a Text Comment to a PDF document in Adobe Reader XI the comment shows up a line below the cursor. Once I finish entering the comment I have to exit out of the comment and move the comment up where it's supposed to be. It doesn't happen on all documents, just some of them. Is there a setting or something I can adjust to get the comments on those document to enter where the cursor is?  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Same thing for me. It is very frustrating and time-consuming.

Hi @earthpland84169442

Sorry for the troubled experience. The thread you have updated is 6 years old, and the version of the app mentioned is End of life.

Please provide more details. Is the file you are commenting on located locally on the machine or on any Cloud drive or network drive? Is that file shared with other people as well? If so, how is the file shared?

Please ensure your copy of Adobe Acrobat is updated. To check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates.

If you test this workflow again with a test one-page PDF, is this issue reproducible? Also, help us with the following information

  • Acrobat version installed : https://adobe.ly/4lDz0o4
  • OS name and version.
  • And a sample file that exhibits the behaviour at your end.

Hi @earthpland84169442<>

Sorry for the troubled experience. The thread you have updated is 6 years old, and the version of the app mentioned is End of life.

Please provide more details. Is the file you are commenting on located locally on the machine or on any Cloud drive or network drive? On each of our computers. Is that file shared with other people as well? No If so, how is the file shared?

Please ensure your copy of Adobe Acrobat is updated. To check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates. I just checked (thank you for the instructions); it's the most updated version.

If you test this workflow again with a test one-page PDF, is this issue reproducible? Also, help us with the following information It is reproducible - it happens in every pdf document - for both our engineer and myself. The other two workers are not working today for me to ask them how theirs responds.
Acrobat version installed : https://adobe.ly/4lDz0o4 OS name and version. And a sample file that exhibits the behavior at your end. I have attached an example document. I turned on the "comment" tool, clicked on "add text comment" and put my cursor where I wanted the text to appear and the text types below the cursor placement. I screenshotted examples and pasted them below in this email.

Hello @sarah!

I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

There are no attachments in the thread. Could you please upload the files to the Acrobat Cloud storage, and then share the link with us? Also, share a screenshot of the version details of Acrobat as well, along with the OS version.

Thanks for your cooperation on this.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
