Text in text box changes when saving and printing

I am using Acrobat Reader DC using Chrome and Windows 10. I have confirmed that I am not in need of any updates (printer or otherwise). I am filling out a form but when I go to print, the text in the fields is being replaced with text from other text boxes. You can see the alteration in the Print Preview image. This does not appear to be a font issue and I am not seeing special characters, the words in the text boxes are literally being replaced. I still tried to 'Print As Image' but the issue persisted. I also checked to see if somehow the new text was hidden in the tex box with the orignal text but word wrapped and not visible, but this is not the case. The form looks correct everywhere but in the print preview.

I have also been saving versions of the document as I have been trying to troubleshoot and I have had 2 of 3 versions re-open with the altered text boxes. I cannot find anything on Google or in any forums that mention this sort of issue.

Can you share a copy of the file or post a screenshot showing what you see?

What is the latest version update that was applied to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

And what is the contextual relationship between Chrome web browser and Adobe Reader here?

Thank you for the reply. I could not attach the documents fully as is because there is personal data in there. I can supply a screen shot:PDF Troubleshooting.jpg

This first began to only show in the print preview, but it now appears that once you save, close and re-open the file the replacement text is in multiple fields.

What is the latest version update that was applied to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

Unfortunately I am unable to see which version of Adobe Reader is in use. This is on a company laptop and I am not seeing which release this is in the properties. I id run check for updates in the Help menu and was prompted that no new updates were available.

And what is the contextual relationship between Chrome web browser and Adobe Reader here?

There is no relationship here. I was working directly through Reader, I just included the browser out of habit when filling out a tech support doc.

I ended up using Google Lumin and was able to fill out this form without any issues. I am still curious in figuring out just what could have caused this issue.

Hi,

Without adobe Acrobat Pro DC is hard to figure what is the problem.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC doesn't allow for this type of editing. However, with this document opened in Reader you can right-click in any area of the page view, and select from the context menu "Document Properties"

You will be able to identify what program was originally used to create this PDF.

Also, to see your version of Reader, click on Help, then "About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC..."

The pop up will show in the top part the latest version.

You're able to fill out the form using a PDF capable web browser because browsers only respect the viewing and filling capabilities.

It won't respect the source document scripting nor a folder level script (if any).

From the screenshot above I may say this has to do with how the text fields were created.

You must contact the creator of the form and have them fix it.

It seems that those form field objects were created with the same name.

If that is the case, that is why you get the same entry that was typed in in one field populated in the other ones.

Fill the form with Acrobat Reader, not Chrome.
