Text Orientation Issue in Editable Job Chart File

New Here ,
Jul 24, 2017 Jul 24, 2017

I created a large (16x20) editable PDF job chart for my site in Adobe Acrobat. On the far left column, I have created text boxes with vertical text.

When some of my users open it, the text in the first column is automatically switched to horizontal text (see pic below). Is there a setting I am missing? How can I help them get the text back to it's original orientation? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Tell them not to use Apple Preview. It's a buggy application that corrupts PDF forms in multiple ways.

They should only use Adobe Reader.

Thank you for that tip! I didn't even notice that she sent me a screen shot of Preview. I've actually heard this complaint from a few other buyers who tell me they're using Adobe Reader. Is it possible to have this issue in Reader as well - or do you think the file is opening in Preview and they're not realizing it?

Here is a screen shot from Adobe Reader that shows the same issue...

PDF Reader is not Acrobat Reader!

Sorry, you'd think I'd notice that! You're right, this is the PDF reader version. I'll check with her about that. A different user sent me this pic and said she had just downloaded the latest updated of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The file is the same - it's just from two different users (one viewing it in PDF reader and one in Adobe Acrobat Reader). The last picture was from a buyer who had started to plug in her own info into the editable PDF.
