Text recognition not working for Chinese text

Hi there, I was trying to get Acrobat pro to convert a PDF in Simplified Chinese to editable text. But when I selected a paragraph and pasted it into a Google Doc, the characters show up as weird special characters that don't make sense. 

 

Any solution for this?
