Text reformatting when Creating comments

Community Beginner ,

Hi, so basically I'm experiencing trouble when using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I basically want to add comments to my PDF. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.012.20040

The comments I wanna add are in a different format in a MS word document and when I copy paste them, the bold and italicized words in the original word document are originally there in the word document style and remain so when I click post, but when I close the comment pop up, the format resets.

I have shown this issue in a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGS1s4u2ojI

Why is this happening and is there a way I can preserve the font style when transferring content from a MS word document to the comments box in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC? It is very time consuming italicizing and making words bold again.

I am really in need of help and will appreciate a permanent resolution to this. Thank You!

Hi, have you try and change the default fallback options for the fonts in Acrobat?

I tried it, issue is still maintaining, don't know why when copying, the formatting is maintained but when I close the comment pop up it resets.

Hey, Thank you for your response. See this is if I convert a Word Document to PDF. I ain't doing that, I'm just copying text in a particular format from word to my PDF as a comment. See my video I posted. What you have posted applies to if I convert a Word document to PDF which isn't the problem I am facing.

Yes , I apologize I gave you the wrong guidance. I see what you are saying, what you want is for the copied text to retain the original text formatting like what is in Bold should display in Bold. I am editing the last slide with another one for you

Hey just a quick follow up and checking if you were able to sort this all out.

I am also curious if with subsequent version updates you're able to copy Rich Text format from a MS Word document and paste it directly in an opened opened comment in Acrobat.
