Problem still exists on macOs Big Sur and Acrobat:
It seems to be an issue that happened to previous version of Acrobat as well.
I would recommend to try reinstalling the application first.
++ In addition to the expert's advice.
Try the following steps too:
1- Update your printer's drivers
2- If this happen to be a spcific PDF issue, then
3- If nothing works, then use cleaner tool to remove the application: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html?22 and reinstall it : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html
Let us know how it goes.
@Eric Dumas - do you know where to get version higher than 21.5.20048.436468 ?
All I can guess - there can be a problem with case-sensitive file system (other Adobe's products just refuse to install on case-sensitive FS) but I do not know how to debug it.
You can always get the latest version from your Creative Cloud application.
It is always the latest version, but no version does work for several years.
