There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred

New Here ,
Nov 30, 2022 Nov 30, 2022

I am using Acrobat Professional, version 22.003.20282.0 on Windows 10 build 19044.2251. When I try to copy with formatting, such as copying a table to paste into Excel, I get the error message

"There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred"

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application and I've also tried the repair installation option under Help. Nothing has worked.

Hi @Magda289404548ffj,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with Acrobat.

Did you have any major updates to your Windows device? If yes, there could be high chances that the clipboard has been disabled.

To enable the clipboard on Windows, go to Settings > System > Clipboard and toggle the "Clipboard history" switch to the "On" position.

If clipboard is enabled, please share a few more details for further investigation:

1. The app version of Acrobat you are using (go to Menu > Help > About Acrobat);

2. The Windows version of your device;

3. A sample file where you experience this issue;

4. A screenshot of the error you see;

5. Logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/4l1gBRA. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Also, you might want to know more on how to work with clipboards: https://adobe.ly/44h6ZfT.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Souvik.
