I pay almost 70€ a month for Acrobat, and what I get every time I open it is a trashy Home Screen full of distractions I did not ask for and cannot properly disable.
I do not need product suggestions.
I do not need tutorials.
I do not need cloud prompts.
I do not need Adobe deciding what I should “discover” today.
I need a PDF tool. That is it.
This Home Screen is noise. It slows down my workflow, breaks focus, and actively gets in the way of the job I am paying for. Worse, Adobe gives me no real option to turn it off permanently. Hiding panels is not a solution. Resetting preferences after updates is not a solution.
This feels like adware behavior inside a paid professional tool.
Acrobat is used by professionals who value speed, clarity, and control. The Home Screen does the opposite of all three. If Adobe wants a content hub, put it behind an explicit opt-in. Do not force it as the default entry point.
Respect the user.
Respect the workflow.
Respect the fact that this is paid software.
Give us a true, persistent option to disable the Home Screen entirely and launch directly into a clean, empty workspace or the last opened document.
Until then, this is not a “feature.”
It is friction I am paying for.

Check out the link below, where the correct answer tells you how to switch back to the old Acrobat interface. You'll likely find that it will get rid of much of the things that annoy you about the new one:

Hope this helps,
