Turn off Auto OCR in Edit Tool

I am looking for suggestions, I recently updated my adobe acrobat to the newest version and cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the recognizable text. That was an option on the last update, a little check box when you were in the edit tool. If anyone has found a way to remove this that would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Would you mind sharing the version of Acrobat Pro and the OS you are using? To check the version of the application, go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.3.20281 (Mac) or 22.3.20282 (Win) go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to open the PDF file that is created by scanning the original document and try to uncheck the option to recognize text and see if that works.
