I have installed the latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC (x64) on Windows 11, along with the scanner drivers for a Canon DR-G1100.
For a standard user, I am unable to utilize the TWAIN driver, which is critical to being able to use the application productively. When attempting to start a scan, the following dialog appears.
However, I found that when running the application as an Administrator, the exact same use case is working fine. I attempted to give standard users full control over the Twain driver files but this did not solve the issue. Has anyone faced this issue and found a way around it other than running Acrobat DC as an Adminstrator?

Coming to bump this thread.
I should not need to elevate my users permissions on every instance of Adobe to accomplish a scan.
What I did was just set Adobe to always run as an admin and use AutoElevate to auto-approve the admin prompts so that I don't have to give my users Admin credentials. But I still shouldn't have to widen my attack surface by allowing one of our most used programs to run as admin every time.
If anyone has any insights on how to fix this without requiring admin on every instance of Adobe, suggestions are appreciated.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
If you are using a work computer that is managed by your IT department, please reach out to your IT administrator. They will be able to raise a ticket on your behalf through the Admin console. This will ensure that your issue is addressed promptly by the dedicated support team.

I am the dedicated IT and we've already shown Adobe support that this is not a systems issue. This issue is isolated to Adobe products, and runs against the basics of cybersecurity maturity as we should not have to elevate a commonly used program to admin, increasing our attack surface. I've already confirmed this with Adobe support.
If there's a specific app config that I need to make, I'm looking for guidance on what that change is. I am not looking for instructions on the basics of path to support.
