Unable to activate Acrobat 8 Professional

New Here ,
Jun 23, 2019 Jun 23, 2019

I purchased this software a few years ago and used it successfully until the laptop stopped working and it had to be scrapped.

I now need to install and activate again on a new computer but the system woun't activate it!

With the previous computer not working, I could not 'de-activate' the software.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

I think that in order to de-activate your Adobe software from that computer  you can actually take care of that online.

Login to your Adobe Account and there you will see which computer systems you have used the software on. You will have an option there that you can click on to de-activate so you can reinstall and use it another computer.

Actually, that won't work with Acrobat 8, since the activation servers have been discontinued by Adobe a while ago.

The solution is to get an installer that doesn't require activation. See: Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8

However, Adobe recently stopped offering downloads of full installers so you'll probably need to Contact Customer Care to solve this issue. Do NOT let them send you to the forums. We can't help with this. Only they can (and should) provide you with the correct installer.
