Steps taken:

Reinstall Adobe - Reboot and removal, reboot after reinstall

Make sure PC has most recent updates

Repair Adobe

Check to make sure Adobe is up to date.

Hi Damien,

Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps performed.

  1. To combine the doc files, are you selecting the files in Windows File Explorer and using Combine files in Acrobat using right-click menu?
  2. Or first opening the Adobe Acrobat > Tools>Combine Files>selecting doc files and then Combine? If following the first method, then try another one or vise-versa.
  3. It could be a specific set of files causing trouble. So check with a different file and see.
  4. Log on to Document Cloud web https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/  and try combining the files online.

Let us know if this works.

Thanks,

Akanchha
