I am new to Adobe Acrobat. I was sent a PDF by email from a friend, I must edit this file for my needs. Some of the text must be edited, specifically deleting some highlighted text. The highlight was somehow converted to an image and lies beneath the text making it difficult to delete the highlight. Anyone have any ideas or tools that can help that I am not aware of?
The file has been attached. The text with a highlighted asterisk (*) is what must be deleted. For my purposes, it begins at page 337.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

There's no easy way to do it, as the highlights were flattened. One relatively easy way I found is if you go to the Content and look for an item called "PathPath..." (repeating). If you delete that item it will remove all the highlights on that page, so you at least won't have to do them one at a time.
This is what it looks like on p.2:
