Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files

I see posts on this from a few years ago but nothing recently. I am trying to PDF Word and Excel files but get thewrror with the pop up window stating "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files." How can I resolve this and use the Adobe products I purchased?

Supposing you have Word and Excel installed, just open the documents in their native app and chose "Save as PDF".

That was the first thing I did and it did not work. I already resolved this through support
