Unable to insert photos from iPhone on windows adobe reader

Regaurdless of if I use google drive or email myself a photo, I am unable to insert the photo into adobe Acrobat Reader regaurdless of if it is a jpg file. Gives error: Error importing image. Unsupported image format.

There are no problems with JPEG files, if they are JPEG files.

To be more specific, This issue arrises when using when trying to import a jpg image from an iphone into an image field in adobe reader. This issue is specific to adobe reader, and does not occur on standard.

@Kyle360110358e5m, are these "live" photos from your iPhone? They're also called Harry Potter photos.

 

If so, they are .HEIC photos, not JPGs. They produce a 1-second mini-movie rather than a single frame shot. Eventually they'll be accepted by more technologies, but for now you might need to open them in a program that can convert them to a standard JPG.

 

FYI, when taking a shot on an iPhone, the little Live icon indicates whether it will take a HEIC or regular JPG.

No, specifically in a file type detector the ones that are failing are refered to JPEG image data (Lepton 2.x)
