On iMac 3.1 Ghz Intel Core i5 OS 10.7.5, using recently installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.04 In an Acrobat XI pdf that has had pages inserted from other Acrobat XI pdf documents, in the thumbnail view, either clicking on or command clicking on page thumbnails does not select the page most of the time.  Sometimes it does for some pages but those are not the ones I wanted to re-order  Tried to close Acrobat to restart hoping to fix the problem that way.  No.  After importing the pages and trying to re-order them, then trying to save and close, Acrobat had an error that wouldn't let me save the document so I lost the work. Started new pdf, tried again to re-arrange the pages using the thumbnails, still unable to select the page thumbnails at all to move them.

sorry to see so many frustrated people for years over this little problem.

I made myself bald just now - why can't I re-arrange the thumbnails?  wasn't it easy once upon a time?

then, I took a breath; sat up straight, pulled my shouders down and back a little and gently put my cursor onto the border of the thumbnail as some suggested - nup, that didn't grab it

let's try again

gently I clicked in the thumbnails belly button = that was exciting when the thumbnail lit up to signify it had been selected --at last it felt wanted, I'm sure.

so, once more, carefully I put my cursor [arrow - never a hand] in the centre of the thumbnail, carefully and gently I clicked the L button and held it -----imediately I could feel I was able to move the wee little thing to just where I wanted it.

now wasn't that easy, I told my grumpy self as I put on a hat to hide the bald patches.

finesse it's called, I believe.
