Unable to see ALT text in Acrobat Pro

Hi all, I've been working on creating accessible images in my document, however I cannot see the ALT text highlight box, once I've exported the PDF. The file shows that the ALT text is still there, and I can only see cross-hairs when I hover over the image, but it does not highlight the text.
Any help to resolve this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance.

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

 

As described you are unable to see the Alt text highlight box once you export the PDF.What is the other format that you export the PDF to?

 

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to export the PDF? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

 

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
 
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.01.206XX installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Hi Amal, and thank you for your reply. I'm using the current version of 2023.008.20533

Unfortunately, I do not have the original InDesign file but simply the PDF (as I review the end PDF), so I could not tell how it has been exported. Is there a way to find out, in the file so I can relay back how to export it correctly please?

Hi there

 

This option is not available to check how the PDF is exported. You may ask the creator of the PDF file to check all the available options when creating PDF form Indesign.
