Unable To Select Added/Edited Text After Using Edit Text/Images Tool in Acrobat Pro

I am working with a pdf document and whenever I edit text or add to the text in the pdf using the Edit Text & Images feature, then I return to Select Text and Images mode, I am no longer able to select the text that I added or selected.  For example, in the screenshot below, I added the word "Researching" to the "Companies First" heading.   I am able to select the "Companies First" text, but not the "Researching" part.  I re-ran the OCR & Text Recognition tool but that made no difference.  Why is it doing this and is there a solution?

Hi @JBLT77

We are sorry to hear that.

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once, and check. Also, update the application to the recent version 22.3.20281 (Mac) or 22.3.20282 (Win) from the help menu and reboot the computer once.

Is this an issue with a particular file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082
