Understand pdf weight

Hello,

I create a pdf with an image (tiff) that is 90Mo. When I look at the pdf weight, it is 3,3 Mo. How is it possible to decrease so much in term of weight even if I do not down-size the resolution. Thanks for your explaination.

Compression - JPEG compression can save this much easily. Or OCR.
