Unknown error when inserting image

Suddenly getting "Unknown Error" when inserting any image into PDF document.

All PDF documents

Mac OS Ventura 13.1

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2022.003.20310

Please check if the issue occurs when you add a particular image. Also, check if this happens with other files.

It can be file specific issue.

Thank you - managed to figure out the problem

 

The images that I was trying to insert was in the cloud (Dropbox in this case), and had a zero file size on the local drive. Normally, when you double-click the image to open it, it triggers an automatic download from the cloud and then opens it.

 

When inserting the image into Acrobat, the download is not automatically triggered and Adobe tries to insert an image file of 0 bytes, and then obviously gives an error.

 

If you force a download of the file to the local drive from the cloud, and then insert it it works fine.

 

Not sur whether this is a bug in Acrobat or not?
