Copy link to clipboard
Copied
Hi,
I'm generating a PDF file from my app, and this file contains URLs
Once generated, Adobe turns the links automatically to hyperlink, but I don't want them to be clickable.
Is there a way to unlink the hyperlink?
In Jira for example:
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
You can turn off convert URL links automatically in Edit => Preferences
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
But I need to trust the receiver to do this
I want to send the file without the links in advanced
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
I am not sure if I undertood your desired workflow.
If I understand correctly you want to be able to do the same with Accrobat?
If yes, then open the document in Acrobat and use the "Edit PDF" tool.
In that toolbar click on Link =>> Remove Web Links
The context menu have additional options to edit, update, delete, etc.
However, The easiest and quickest way to do this in bulk is discussed in this old thread:
Is this what you are inquiring about?
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
I have a php code that generates a pdf report
but in the report, all the URLs are generated as hyperlinks (clickable), and I want that the URLs will be simple text, without links
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
Then open the PDF report in Adobe Acrobat Pro (or similar PDF editing software) and use the method that I described earlier.
That is how the hyperlinks are removed without deleteing the text content.
If you are using Adobe Reader (free PDF viewer version) you won't be able to perform this type of editing.
