Updating Header/Footer causes duplicate pages or cut off sections on my Adobe Pro for Mac

I have been having issues on Adobe Pro on my Mac. It occurs when I insert pages and then try to update the footer page number. Two issues are that sometimes the first few lines of text will disappear off of the inserted pages and other times, duplicate pages will insert.  This has caused me some work errors as I think my document is good to go while in fact, it has changed.  I would greatly appreciate any help.

Please confirm the current version of Acrobat you are working with? 

Would you mind sharing the Adobe Acrobat version you are using? To check the version, go to Help > about Acrobat.To check the update,

Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)

Also, it would be clearer if you could share the screenshot of how the file looks when you update the header and footer. Is there any specific error that you see?

Thank you for replying. The version that I am using is Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, I checked for updates and see that it is up to date.   I can't share the documents as they are not for public but will try to find a way to visually share the issue.

I tried to capture the issue, this set of pdfs show me adding two pages to a document, updating the footer to add in the page numbers to the newly added pages, and then how the blue bar off the top of the 2 and 3rd pages disappears.
