hi
I'm taking advanrage of the 7 day free trial for acrobat - I'm supposed to have access tyo all the features - - but when I try to use the tools I keep getting directed to the UPGRADE NOW! page (see below).
and there doesn't seem tyo be a way to get around it. If i edit a PDF - assuming i can open it without being asked for a password - i have to select the file from its folder and choose Acrobat as the host program - and that has worked
but i need to convert a JPEG to PDF and havent been able to get around it for that
what am I doing wrong?

Hi @paul_2174
To clarify, are you trying to use a trial version of Acrobat Pro but it is not letting you open and you're stuck on the upgrade screen?
Are you on Windows?
Give the full list of steps you're going through.

Sry for late reply I've been unwell
I've taken the free 7 day trial - downloaded creative cloud and Acrobat- which allows me to edit documents (as long as I don't get blocked by password request which is happening on one document) but some features- MOST features- are triggering the upgrade prompt screen above
Yes I'm using windows. Just frustrated
Am I missing something?

There should not be any limits in fuctionality with the trial. From my understanding, it should be the same as the full version up until the trial ends when you will go into the full version unless you cancel.
I haven't looked at the trial process in a while. Did you have to put any payment details? Maybe it's towards the end of the trial and so prompting you to upgrade.
I'll look further into this and see what I can find. Or maybe an Adobe person can jump in to provide further insight.

Another question/suggestion - did you install through the Creative Cloud app? If not have you installed that Creative Cloud app?
I'd suggest logging into the app and then launching Actobat from there. Maybe Acrobat is trying to authenticate you before it allows you to use it. If you go through teh Creative Cloud app, it verifies your account.

ok - thanks SO much for taking the time to reply
Ive followed your suggestion - and it does seem to have fired a different response. Opening CLOUD first and trying to activate an ACROBAT tool feature has caused it to alert me to a failure in its process and asked me to re-install - a "repair" option box appeared and I clicked "yes" - it's busy re-instaling now. I'll come back to let you know how i got on
