Using Acrobat (DC, 2020 or equal) completely offline in Enterprise setting

Hey there,

I have a question about using Adobe Acrobat (DC, 2020 or equal) in an enterprise environment without ever having the need for an active internet connection. So that the installation, licensing, use and update (via own software distribution mechanism) doesn't need "phoning home" internet. Pre-cloud on-premise, if you want.

Is there any (technical) option to do so? And if there is: will there be still an option in, like, 5 years?

And, follow up question: are there any functionalities in Adobe that would not work this way like OCR?

Thank you!

There used to be, but I believe Adobe made the activation of Acrobat 2020 online-based only (before you could do it over the phone, too), so I think the answer is no, unfortunately.

And all the functionalities of Acrobat are available even without any internet connection, so that's not an issue.
