Hello,

I hope someone can help me. I am working on a form at work and depseratley need help. For purposes of my question, I have created a sample form that has similar fields like the one at work. I am using Adobe X.

See the sample form at the bottom of the page (direct url to pdf form is there as well)

Lets say I want people to never leave the name, phone, email address, choose a country and occupation, and primary language fields blank so those can be considered required. However the only option they have when finsihed filling out the form is to reset it or print it.

For those fields, what is the proper command/code to use (and where) when a user presses the print button and I want a redirect or a highlight of empty required fields or the print button to disable until they fillout those fields I mentined earlier. I am totally open any of those options would help I just need something that works and it shoulld be linked to the print button no?

Thank you all in advance!!!!! (Screenshots of the proper code/script in the field(s) are welcome as well as anything else. Feel free to even put the code in the pdf document itself and url it. I would love to go in a see what was done to make it work.

All the best- MyahSnapshot 2013-07-29 06-37-03.jpg

Look at this thread:

Where Gilad D has a script that alerts the user if there are any empty required fields.

You could attach such a script to your Print button.

I've spent the last few hours trying to change color as soon as some content is entered. I can find no way to do so nor hours of looking on there Internet have been fruitful.

I now in Excel there actually is a feature called conditional formatting that will do this very thing at the push of a few keys.

I' sure some of the Javascript junkies on the list can come up with something. But I can't find it. Sorry!
