I have created a simple form which does simple calculations of numbers;
Vendor Amount of Bill Discount Amt pd Balance
Text1 Text2 Text3 Text4 Text2-Text3-Text4
When I tab from the "Vendor" column to the "Amount of Bill" column, enter a number, hit the tab button to move to the next field in the row, it gives the error message
"The value entered does not match the format of the field [field name]"
When I click the OK button, it moves me to a text field on a different row of the spreadsheet that has nothing to do with the row I am working in. The calculated total in the "Balance" column of the row I am working in is correct, but I have been shifted to a different row and text field.
Very frustrating.
I have seen similar issues discussed in previous forums, but never have found a satisfactory solution. Anyone have a real solution?
Thanks,
Reagan

Did you check the format of the field?

How did you set up this calculation? Are you entering just numbers into the fields, or also other things, like the "$" symbol?
The second issue is just a tab order issue. You need to set the tab order to what you want it to be.

It's possible that a different field may be the source of this error, assuming you have more than one calculated field. What is the name of the field that's shown inside the brackets in the error message? You showed it as "field name", but is that exactly what it shows?
