I am finishing the final proof of a book, and on some of the facing pages, the even and odd pages are slightly off from each other in terms of vertical alignment.  Like one page is 1.5 lines longer than the other, for example.  Is there a way to adjust the text on one page to be shorter, to match the other page, without removing any text?  Removing or adding text would mess up the following section, which I don't want to do.

Do not do this in the PDF file! Go back to the original file you created the PDF from and adjust it there, and then create a new PDF file from it.
