viewing overwritten pdfs not updating

Export a pdf from indesign, view it in acrobat, go back to indesign make a small tweak and export again.

Back to acrobat, its still displaying the old file, because i didnt close the window prior to overwriting it.

This used to update in the current open window by itself, now I run the risk of accidentally sending old pdfs to clients. (sadly yes it has happened)

Is there a preference for this or something?

Hi @hegercreative,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat DC.

Please try the given steps:

Go to Edit-> Preferences-> Page Dsplay  (Windows)

Go to Acrobat-> Preferences-> Page Display (Mac)

Once there, uncheck the option "Use Page Cache", then restart Acrobat DC.

Let us know if this helps.
