As I was trying to install the Adobe dc pro trial my Avast virus scanner said it was infected and sent it to quarantine!!
I'm certainly not paying for that!
What's the problem??
Meltdown/ Spectre in your cloud??
What should I do?

Any advice on the install?

No. I've never seen a virus warning on Adobe software. Sounds like a false positive.

Yes, temporarily turn off your virus checker prior to the installation and re-enable it after the install has completed. Assuming the software was downloaded from Adobe, there are no viruses in our installers.
Virus checkers are known to sometimes yield what is known as “false positives.”

This is not an acceptable answer. Apparently multiple virus scanners report this as a virus. Specifically Set-up.dat in the ASU_5.5.0 folder. We are not going to disable antivirus on thousands of client machines and push this out. That would be a stupid chance to take. At this point Adobe has some work to do, until this is no longer reported as a virus, we cannot deploy Adobe Acrobat Pro. Companies get hacked... Adobe is no exception. Before you make assumptions that your product is clean, confirm it!!
