Hi ray21993526iitl,

Thanks for reaching out.
If this is happening with all PDF files. Launch Acrobat > Edit >Preferences > Full Screen.
Check the preferences or change them according to your requirements, then click OK. Relaunch Acrobat, then try double-clicking on the PDF file and see the impact.

Please ensure your copy of Adobe Acrobat is updated. To check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates.

If you are still experiencing the issue help us with the following details:

  1. Acrobat version installed:   https://adobe.ly/3PQQ7nE
  2. OS name and version.
  3. Screen recording showing the problem.

Best regards,

Thanks for trying the suggestions, @ray21993526iitl!

If your machine is IT-managed, ask your IT to try the behavior in a different user profile on the same machine.

Also, try uninstalling the app using the cleaner tool: https://adobe.ly/46cwNe8. Once the uninstallation is done, restart your machine if possible.

Then, reinstall Acrobat and ensure it is updated. This seems to be a machine-specific issue; I am unable to reproduce this behavior on our end.

If you are still experiencing the issue, help us with the following details:

  1. Acrobat version installed:  https://adobe.ly/3PQQ7nE
  2. OS name and version.
  3. Screen recording showing the problem.
  4. And a couple of sample files, using which you are able to reproduce the issue.

Will be waiting to hear back from you.

Best regards,

Look .... ur answers implies that Adobe Reader had that behaviour  already when is was issued ...  and that SW developer became aware of that problem and issued an SW-update.....    ?!

Fact is, that everyone in our company is affected by that annoying PDF opening behaviour ..

Our IT-Experts have worked on it... for almost one hour.....     and found what i mentioned above....

Adobe Ready has that behaviour by default

Just wondering whether u can experience that behaviour on ur computer as well...    it must be...

How about sending me a download link with the latest Acrobat version ...  I am willing to pay for that...   but of course only when this will fix that annoyance

Thanks for your help and understanding....

Eventually .... u contact by urself ur IT-Experts checking out whether they aware of that problem .  I cant imagine that they dont....
