We can’t verify your subscription status.

Hello. Since a few days, when I open Acrobat on my MacBook, I see the message "We can’t verify your subscription status." with error code 10000. The online help does not state anything about that error code.

My internet connection works, I have no special firewall installed, my MacOS is recent (14.3 (23D56)), and I have already rebooted the machine and uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat. Nothing helps. Can you please tell me how to get rid of this? I have paid for a license and would like to use it!

Hello Roger!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Are you getting the same error message that the original user posted in this old thread, i.e. Can't verify the subscription? Do you also get any error code? Could you please share a screenshot of the error message? Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20474 25.001.20476 (Mac), Apr 28, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again. Also, please try the solution from this article and let us know how it goes: https://adobe.ly/4j5V4oR

Thanks,

Alright, thanks for nothing.

For future reference: After re-installing Acrobat again, I got Error 205, and this lead me to that other article that actually resolved the problem:

Reinstallation did not change anything – it stayed at Error code 10000 in my case – nevertheless, the suggestion below also solved this error. Thanks for reporting this !

It actually works, but every time you close Acrobat and open it again, it fails again.
