WerFault.exe - Entry Point Not Found

New Here ,
Mar 31, 2017 Mar 31, 2017

For the last 2 - 3 weeks, when I scan a document into my Acrobat XI from my printer, there are two thin vertical lines that appear on the right hand side the full length of each page, and there is an error message which appears twice in succession and which says "The procedure entry point urctbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library - api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-dll.

I have re-booted the computer, tried updates, etc. with no success.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I order to better understand the situation could you please mention the platform details (build number, operating system used and scanner details).

Please also mention the scan steps and the setting used if this behavior is specific to a certain scan settings or steps.

Also, please ensure whether the scanner works fine with any other application too, as it might be scanner issue.

Thanks,

Rishabh Sharma

Thanks for the good suggestions.

I have done some testing, and discovered that the fault lies in my scanner's automatic document feeder. When I scan on the flatbed, everything is OK. When I use the document feeder, the error occurs.   It is an all-in-one HP 276dw Officejet Pro.  I will be contacting HP.
