What does Adobe “repair installation” do?
If someone share it with me, it is very helpful!!
When I get any PDF issues, I run "repair installation" and it often resolves a problem.
I would like to know what it does. (e.g.: Deleting specific cashes, Renewing printer sessions, etc...)
It helps me to find an underlying problem.
Thank you.

Basically it reinstalls the application, resetting all the preferences, etc. We don't know the exact details, only Adobe does.

I don't think Adobe would know either. On Windows it would use Windows Installer and ask it to repair, for at least part of the job. So it is Microsoft's idea of how to repair. It is likely to compare the files and registry in the system with the files and registry which the installer was last recorded to set up.

Hey there! When you run a repair installation on Adobe, it essentially reinstalls the software while also repairing any corrupted or missing files that may be causing issues with the program. This can include deleting certain caches, renewing printer sessions, and restoring any missing or damaged files. Essentially, it's a way to reset the program to its default settings and repair any problems that may be preventing it from functioning properly. I hope this helps! If you're still experiencing issues with Adobe after running a repair installation, you may want to consider reaching out to the Windsor Repair team for further assistance. They can diagnose the issue and provide the necessary repairs or replacements. Good luck!
