What's a "privately applied" email? Hacker?

New Here ,
Aug 15, 2024 Aug 15, 2024

Hi, folks!

As I was signing in to Adobe Acrobat for the first time on my Xiaomi Android device, through my Apple ID...

I got a brief notification banner on my phone saying (paraphrasing) *a/strange/email/address/that/I/can't/remember* is "privately applied to your account.

I can't find any trace of such a notification on my phone now....

Am I being hacked?

Thanks for your ideas.

Joni

Hi @joni_6204,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Apple allows you to mask your original email address with a privaterelay email, which can be access by going to the iCloud account setup.

The description points towards the same topic, and you might want to sign in to your iCloud account (either on phone, mac or web) and check if you have any active.

The other option would be to log in to https://adobe.ly/40yQb1G and scroll down to the bottom to find Active Sessions, and remove any unidentified activities and change the password.
