Where do I find Show Hyperlinks in Acrobat Pro?

I’d like to see hyperlinks in my PDF while viewing it in Acrobat Pro. I recall there being a setting to display a thin line under each hyperlink. I was advised to enable this via View > Extras > Show Hyperlinks, but I can’t find the Extras menu under View. Has this functionality been moved, and where can I find it?"

Hi there

I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for reaching out!

To view the hyperlinks embedded in your PDF document, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Navigate to the top menu and select Edit > Link > Add or Edit a Link.
  3. Your pointer will change to a crosshair, and all existing links within the document—whether visible or invisible—will temporarily appear.

For additional guidance, you can refer to our comprehensive help page: Links and Attachments in PDFs.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you Amal for your quick reply.

I have visited Add/Edit Link as you suggest but it is not quite the functionality I am looking for.

My hyperlinks appear correct when I examine them throught that interface. Unfortunately something is amiss and I am looking for a way to view the extent of the hyperlinks. When I send my interactive pdf to the 3rd party they report that some of my hyperlinks have 'run together'. I am attaching the view that they see (notice the thin line connecting text 1, 13, 25, 37 and 49). I am looking for a way to enable a similar view in Acrobat so I can fix this problem - if you have insight into this 'running together' issue please let me know.
