White bar covering up drawings at bottom of pdf?

See screen shot below. As of yesterday afternoon I have a white bar across the bottom of any pdf.

It covers up the bottom of the drawings, down vertical scroll arrow and about half of the bottom toolbar.

If I have another program maximized in the same window and click on the white bar it "goes through" Acrobat and brings up the other program.

Any suggestions on how I can get it to go away?

I did a 'Repair installation' from the Help menu.

After a restart of the computer the problem went away 🙂

Hello Trevorm,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are getting a white horizontal bar at the bottom of every PDF on your Windows 10 machine, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat Standard DC from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing the updates and see if this brings any difference.

Try repairing Acrobat once from help>repair installation, reboot the machine.

If the issue persists, please reset the preferences of Acrobat, to reset the preferences, please refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

If you still face the issue, please share the following details:

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Same problem for me. I find just disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor makes it go away temporarily... but it always seems to come back. Before it seemed to be a connection issue and I did this once and it went away.. but lately its been doing it again so maybe its the cable... would be worth trying a different cable.

We have a laptop with the same issue. Windows 10 Pro laptop with an external monitor set as the main monitor. We have uninstalled/re-installed and the issue persists. We can restart the laptop and the issue goes away for a bit but eventually comes back. Running DC Standard.

I also have the white bar at the bottom, all the letters are white so i cant see what it says. The bar used to be black with white letters, however now it is all white. I have put a red line across it so you can see.

I have done all of the suggestions above and nothing works for me, i have even uninstalled and re-installed the programs, this happens on all browsers. As you can see the little pdf icon very faintly on the far left but what it says you cant see due to the bar being white and the words being white now too

This is a Windows problem.  I have this issue on Dell Optiplex 7050's and Latitude 7480s...It's great, can't fix it...

Toggle the screen to full and back (ctrl+L) will correct it temporarily.
