There are millions of fonts. Adobe have about 5000.

It's been installed on my computer ever since I bought it.

then it's probably contains characters not supported by acrobat.  let's see if the acrobat experts have any insight to this.

In what way are you trying to use it, exactly? Are you sure the font permissions allow it to be embedded in a PDF file?

What does the font list in the document's properties tell you?

Because Adobe Acrobat uses any font that is correctly embedded in the PDF document. The PDF creating software needs to embed whatever font you need.
