After each edit I make, why am I asked to delete or post my comment?

You need to be more specific. Are you talking about posts here on the forum? In a PDF file? Somewhere else?
And who is asking you to do that? What does this "request" looks like, exactly?

Sorry yes, I mean pdf files. Here's what's happening when I try to edit a pdf:
1) I make my first edit (e.g. replace a word or delete a word);
2) When I go to make the next edit, the following message pops up (in red font) in the comments window: 'Please cancel or post the comment'.
That message will only disappear if I save the file, which means I currently have to do a save after each and every edit.
[Also, a box is visible near my mouse cursor, which may have nothing to do with the above issue.]

Recently Acrobat started rejecting comments without any contents (annoyingly). Do you enter something in the comment when you create it? If not, give it a try.

Usually yes (like when I'm replacing a word), but I still get that message.

Strangely, I didn't get this problem until near the end of a pdf edit yesterday. The only difference I can think of is that I got a pop-up box at the start, requesting that I sign in. That didn't happen today, so I'm left with the same problem 😞
